GAS Entec have been successfully delivered Engineering Service and Total Cargo Handling Equipment Package for the America’s First 2,200 cbm LNG Bunkering Barge Project.

Busan, South Korea-based Engineering company (Chong-Ho Kwak, CEO) GAS Entec announced on 7th December, 2016, they have delivered successfully Engineering service and total  LNG Cargo Handling Equipment package for the America’s First 2,200 cbm LNG bunkering barge project. The vessel is under construction in Conrad Orange Shipyard, TX USA and the main cargo containment system is GTT Mark III Flex system. GAS Entec is taking charge of Engineering Basic/Detail design of LNG Cargo & Bunkering Handling System with supplying related main equipment and commissioning service as well. Especially, whole barge Electrical Engineering for the barge, Integration Automation Service, Emergency Shout-Down System (ESDS), Cargo Handling System (CHS), Field Measuring package (Level Gauging System, Custody Transfer and Measurement System, SMART Field Instrument), Ship to Ship Communication Link System (SSCLS) and Fire & Gas Detecting System, etc carried by GAS Entec and at the same time those engineering effort has been accepted by ABS and USCG.

This has remarkable meaning that small Korean Engineering firm has supplied main engineering service and equipment on the world first small scale membrane LNG bunkering vessel project in the USA. Especially for Integration Automation Service, GAS Entec has applied its first product named 'iCAMS' and the product made this barge satisfy completely 'unmanned condition' requirement. GAS Entec is exiting to present that it will be competitive solution in the LNG Vessel Automation System Market which has been dominated by global companies. 

The vessel will serve to bunker two TOTE LNG fuelled container ships which had been built in NASSCO Shipyard in USA and its expected delivery of the barge is first quarter of 2017.
