Busan, South Korea-based Engineering company (Chong-Ho Kwak, CEO) GAS Entec announced on 5th January, 2017, they have awarded Cargo Handling System supply package for Indonesia Bali 26K LNG FSRU from Singapore-based Pax Ocean Engineering. GAS Entec played key-role to develop FSRU technical specification and to select major equipment makers for vaporization system and LNG storage tank and carry out evaluation of maker’s technical capability. For this task GAS Entec worked closely from initial stage of the project and had series technical meetings with the shipyard.

Mr. Kwak said, “It is the renowned event because of small engineering firm supplying the regasification unit and cargo handling system as one integreated package. Especially, GAS Entec already has references of supplying 50mmscfd FRU for Power plant in Bali, Indonesia on March 2016 and provided its Integrated Control, Alarm and Monitoring System (iCAMS) for 2,200 cbm LNG Bunkering barge project of CONRAD Shipyard, US.” And he added “GAS Entec has set its firm positioning among other European companies as the EPC contactor who has engineering capability for small mid scale FSRU market.”

Especially, regasification and cargo handling system equipment will be procured from Donghwa Entec and other makers from Korean local. This will be great opportunity for local LNG equipment vendors to participate in the small mid scale marine LNG infrastructure market and to be helpful to LNG related Korean marine equipment makers to revive in this recession.
