An important step towards industry standardisation has been achieved at the recent ISO meeting at Rutgers University in New Jersey where ISO/TC8/WG8 met and over two days discussed the standardisation of LNG bunkering dry-disconnect/connect coupling to meet the IGF code requirements for a standard bunkering coupling type.
SGMF is pleased that the team has recognised the effort made by SGMF’s membership in developing the technical guidance TGN06-01. They have decided to include the SGMF coupling design recommendations and dimensions in the upcoming ISO 21593 and push this important standard forward to its last drafting stages before publication.
