The National Harbor Safety Conference 2026 is a biennial, multi-day gathering of maritime safety professionals.
It features keynote talks, panel discussions, and technical briefings that highlight best practices from port communities nationwide, lessons learned from real-world incidents, and strategies for improving coordination with federal agencies and other stakeholders. The programme includes sessions on federal agency perspectives, shipboard firefighting, alternative fuels, and the vital role of Harbor Safety Committees in tackling local and national maritime challenges.
We’re also excited to share that SGMF’s Claudia Beumer, Membership & Communications Manager, is speaking at the conference, contributing her expertise to Understanding Alternative Fuels.
